Maze

Mazes are garden features with a branching, artistically complex system of paths, which are ideally created out of hedges higher than a human being. The special characteristic of hedge mazes is the feeling of being temporarily trapped by dense and impenetrable hedges. Some mazes allow those inside to peek through at other paths or the centre of the maze at a few points.

Unlike a true labyrinth, in which only one path leads from the entrance to the centre without branching off, mazes are truly confusing with their networks of paths and side paths, crossways, dead-ends and loops. Despite this, mazes are sometimes called labyrinths. Mazes are always man-made.

This maze consists of a sequence of paths and dead-ends, which visitors can follow to experience the fairy tale of The Frog Prince with a surprising water display at the centre.
